1. How do I get to Hamburg?

a) Public transport

Public transport leaves Stover Strand hourly. Take the bus or the ASM (Taxi at bus rates) to the station in Winsen, and from there you can take a train all the way to Hamburg Central Station. Journey time: approx. 55 minutes.

b) Park & ride

Drive to the Park & Ride car park in Bergedorf or Nettelnburg. Journey time: approx. 15 minutes. Trains leave there every 10 – 20 minutes for Hamburg Central Station. Journey time: approx. 35 minutes.

c) Car / hire car

Drive your own car or rent one here and drive it from Stover Strand to the city of Hamburg. Journey time: approx. 30 minutes

2. What are the check-in times at Stover Strand Holiday Park?

January to March: 8 am - 12 noon and 3 pm - 6 pm
April to May: 8 am - 7 pm
June to August: 8 am - 8 pm
September to October: 8 am - 7 pm
November to December: 8 am - 12 noon and 3 pm - 6 pm

Of course, we’re there for you all day on public holidays such as Ascension Day, Whitsun and Easter. You can arrive up to 10 pm on any day (but not on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from November to March), and until 11 pm on Fridays or Saturdays. Please check in at Restaurant Stover Strand.

3. Can I arrive outside the official opening hours?

4. Is my dog welcome?

Of course! You’re welcome to bring your dog along. Our big, park-like grounds by the River Elbe with its spacious sand banks are perfect for your four-legged friend to frolic on. Dogs must be kept on the lead in the park. We charge €2 per night for your dog.

5. What is a good place to eat out?

Our restaurant was nominated 2014 regional winner for fresh, regional cuisine by the German Association of Hotels and Restaurants (DEHOGA). There is a daily à la carte menu. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the off-peak season. You can also make use of our snack bar, our bistro and our EDEKA supermarket.

6. What is the maximum size of motorhome/caravan?

You can bring motorhomes and caravans of any size to our park.
